Published

on

It is no coincidence Derrick Evans announced his candidacy for the US House of Representatives today January 6th. Evans who was previously elected to the WV House of Delegates is perhaps most known now for his participation in the January 6th protests in Washington DC. He announced his candidacy Friday morning on the Tom Roten Morning Show aired on 800 WVHU and streamed via iHeart radio.

The WV 1st Congressional District is currently represented by Congresswoman Carol Miller. Evans didn’t mince words about the differences between his beliefs and Miller’s. He is a self-described “America First” candidate who pledges to stand with the Freedom Caucus and President Trump.
